[kj] Studio visit

Paul and Jaz were looking very lean and healthy ... I hope to follow their lead in the run up until April 2010 ... since Stephane was coming over and I've been mainly living back in West London since April, I chanced my arm ... I offered to help out as a local guide and took a gamble on a Thursday afternoon window as I could take a half day from work and the train station is on my journey to/from work near Waterloo ... it was Thursday or bust for me and it all fell into place ... it was the first time I met all the original members together and the first time i ever spoke to Youth, despite being a fanatic for 29+ years !!!  Typically, I didn't want to appear too intrusive so I took only a few snaps and I will put up a few up on Facebook tomorrow evening ... please feel free to send me a friend request if you haven't already ... apart from my enthusiasm, I didn't have too much to offer apart from my copy of Allied Propaganda fanzine from 1980 to peruse which was my own first major experience with Killing Joke when I picked up the fanzine in Camden for 20p ... and I was keen to pass it around the studio so some of the younger studio engineers got a glimpse of what made Killing Joke so special when they first appeared ... seeing Jaz reading it was a magical moment for me.

Heard some very exciting sounds this week. There was a real buzz about the place and a freshness and energy in the music that raised the old nape hairs. Four highly talented individuals focusing their creative powers was truly something to behold. Stephane and Antoni arrived on Thursday and the "fete des fromages" began..
