It wasnt either a back problem or a knee problem . He didnt sit down because either Back or knee trouble, he had to sit down because of a neck problem

I'll go with knee, as sitting with a back injury would probably exacerbate the problem..

Re: Geordie sitting - doesn't he have some sort of knee / back issue that gave him a hard time back in the 2003 tour and necessitated sitting during one or two US shows?
 
Also, I agree that most people are unfamiliar with and surprised by the studio recording process, but I am still amused by the fact that KJ can make such ferocious music while lounging about on comfortable sofas...
