Nice to see they have signed with a label that will finally get rid of the goth/metal tag that they have been saddled with for so long.

I think they were probably thinking of The Fireman.

Youth has done production and remix work for the Orb but he's never been a "member," any more than he was a "member" of The Verve or Guns'n'Roses. The Orb was always Alex Paterson and Jimmy Cauty until Cauty quit back in the day. It's been Paterson and guests ever since.

They list him as a member on Discogs..
http://www.discogs.com/artist/Orb%2C+The

I know he had production invovlemnet in the past, maybe he's up to it, again? He is listed as current, with BPF as an ex-'member'.
Alex P was involved with KJ early on, too.

So, who actually writes the material on their web site?

the latest blurb detailing the new album and tour describes Youth as "...one half of highly-regarded duo, The Orb."

Saywhatnow?

Wasn't BPF a drummer with the Orb for a stint, as well (or so I thought I'd read ...)

Cheers,

Thanks everso much for the great news about the April tour - see you all downstairs at the Apollo!

It's the second piece of good news I've had today. I thought I was being made redundant end of this year, but have just found out that my job's safe until at least March next near, and possibly for longer.

  Best regards to everyone,
