Heh!

Weren't they public (fee-paying, for any septics reading) schoolboys?

Strummer, certainly, was the son of a diplomat with a boarding-school
education:

I wonder what kind of education or worldly experience (aka University of
Hard-Knox) the guys in The Clash had? I've never looked into it.

Their lyrics sound smart and insightful, but the image to non-connoisseur
is that they were but talented street urchins borderline-ruffians, or so i
gathered (a looonng time ago..) from the cd liner of their 2-cd hits set.

There, I have exercised 2 of my rights - the right not to be killed (still
here), and the right to free speech (no carpal tunnel yet). Can I have food
money now, please?? ("M o r e ? !" -- olivertwist)

He was an apiculturist, and onstage too??
