[kj] Gathering Digest, Vol 66, Issue 102

I think the criticism of Democracy is more about the production than the material, certainly from my point of view. I want to turn it up so I can *feel* the music, but it sounds awful - endlessly pissing about with eq settings is tiresome when you just wanna blast it out. Hence it doesn't get blasted anywhere as often as it should. It needs a remix, not a remaster.

DEMOCRACY is a great album. Personally, I like more of the tracks on DEMOCRACY than on PANDEMONIUM. I've never understood what all the criticism is about.

"2 cents well spent sir, but?why do we feel the need to apologise for
listening to the alledged "untrendy" albums.?I love pretty much ALL
of KJ's stuff, yet i seem to find divisions amongst the faithfull
about the music. Is'nt it all part of the glorious story? Not having
a go at you Alex, i love you like a brother, like i love like
brothers, all the Gatherers i've met, apart from the girlie's, cos i
love them like sisters, it's just something i've noticed over the
years that's all. Truthfully, people on this list have been almost
pilloried for liking certain albums, songs and i just find that
wierd. I like Democracy. I like it all, yes even OTG to a degree."

Well to reply to my own post.it <http://post.it/> was mildly disorganised, almost totally male
dominated, and kinda lame.

On the positive side, I got home and found this:
