[kj] FW: Michael Jackson dead

You're a great example of either what religion does to people's minds or who
is attracted to religion. Black and white thinking...negative thoughts are
BAD, ergo I don't have any. Oh but you do...

In one of your first posts on this list you made a disparaging remark about
me, so all of your blather below is just that. What you think you should be.
Because a bunch of representatives of your collective imaginary friend, who
I might point out have a disproportionately high incidence of molesting
children, tell you is right, enforced with supernatural promises and
threats. Choose me or choose eternal flame...hrm, nice set of options.
Sounds like a plausible offer from a sane omnipotent entity.

And if you're like the typical religious idiot there's about a 100% chance
that any evidence to the contrary will be refused entry into your nervous
system or twisted in such a way that it somehow fits the existing model. No
chance of challenging those convictions, that faith. That'd imply some form
of honesty and fallibility. God doesn't work that way!

i don't know why i'm bothering
but half the things you speak of do NOT apply to me
i do not recall being in any of the scenarios you speak of
regarding a boss i disliked i just told him what i thought and walked
i will NOT take shit
if i like something i say so and vice versa and i do not seek approval from
anyone
i have never delivered a speech
i have never tried ''to fit in ''
i wear something because it is pleasing to me ,NOT because it is fashionable

i occaisionally pay homage to a particular vernacular because it raises a
laugh [ usually at my expense ] but i don't lose sleep over it
i'll admit picking my nose in my own time and in my own personal space
i have never laughed AT someone but prefer to laugh with someone [ except in
the instance of comedy ]

Never had a boss you weren't honest about disliking (lie by omission)? A
friend / partner / family member make a stupid decision or comment that you
smiled and bit your tongue to? A stupid joke you laughed along with for
reasons of social cohesion / subservience? Put on a brave face when you
wanted to cry or scream? Did your best not to look unhappy when being teased
or laughed at? Smiled and posed for a photo? Looked like a tougher version
of yourself when walking past thugs? Pretended not to give a shit when
someone said something that hurt? Pretended to be interested when someone
you like or thought worthy of respect was boring you? Heaped praise on
mediocre performance for what you thought were the right reasons?

Do you present the same way when delivering a speech as you do when you're
getting pissed with your mates? Do you wear clothes you don't like for
business or other reasons, to fit in? Never looked back in retrospect and
thought you were an idiot for trying to come across in a particular way to
impress someone else? Presented someone with your representative on a date,
as opposed to the real you? Waited until no one was around before picking
your nose?

Ever found yourslf picking up someone else's vernacular because they have a
strong personality? Bought clothes or music or gadgets to 'fit in'? Or to
not fit in...

Ever talked shit for an hour straight at a job interview or on a date?
Stifled laughter in order to not hurt someone else's feelings...? Tried not
to look physically disgusted at something / someone who disgusts you?

Hrm...by my calculations, if the above is true then you're FULL OF SHIT.
Just like the rest of us (only slightly moreso ;)
