Didn't Connie Plank produce BTATS & NT? It probably explains the very 'clean' sound.
They're a bit glossy and the bass treatment is a bit hit and miss (sometimes lacks gravity), but I still like them :D
KJ have always seemed to have issues on the bass front, when recording. Fire Dances is a bit thin, too.

I have to carry a barf bag in order to make it throught "Brighter Than A Thousand Suns". Sounds too much like New Romantic stuff to me...
