The catholic church has a lot of blood on its hands too it should be
pointed out.

According to what I've read, the Nazis aren't top of the genocide
Leaderboard (not for want of trying, had they been in a country with a
population like Russia or China the stats would no doubt be much higher).
China looks like the winner according to this site, with 76 million deaths
this century. Then again, they had a lot more natural resources to work
with, and on...

The writer conducted his study in order to judge which style of government
is more violent, looks to me like the figures for governments killing
their own people are higher for the stats for deaths in war. Most of his
stats concentrate on post-1900.
