Their music is awesome nonetheless; you'd be surprised. I've never found 
anything about them off-putting. Maybe Ms.Dillinger may know more about that.

Beware tho', they also write songs about... trees (still 1 of my faves).

Rush is one band that my comic book guy friends in High School introduced me to as being intellectually challenging, and they were abso-fucking-lutely right.  Neal Peart is a rawk legend, to say the least.  And no, I don't like Ayn Rand.  Uggh....lol
