What, from not hearing any new material from Killing Joke? Too late, witness all this forum's postings..

I'm sure the play-by-play will be available, sade1. ; ) In the meantime, check those withdrawl symptoms.

Cheers,

True, I'm just saying that his deeper issues came out framed and articulated in the terms of
the times he lived through. No other choice, really.

Anyway, they finally showed his brothers saying goodbye, and it was the only good part of it
all so far. I wonder if i'll miss much when i go to lunch (sooon...)?

Point taken, sade1 -- however, I think Jackson's issues were far deeper.

Michael wouldn't be the only black person influenced to "look white."
How many "blondes" and blue-contact wearing, hair-straightened (conked?), post-Depression-era sized Cadillac-driving, white trophy-girl dating/white-girl fearing examples does it take to raise a stereotype to an undeniable archetype?

Don't know what paper that is from, but I've heard that argument, also. Afraid I can't buy into it. Jackson's sick metamorphosis is his own -- of course, a miserable family upbringing didn't help things, either.

Someone wrote an article in my commie party's newspaper about MJ. They attributed all his plastic surgery/skin changes to racism--in that he was influenced by racism to look white. THey also pointed out that he had been turned into the ultimate commodity by the entertainment industry, and even stated in a recent interview that he only felt comfortable on stage...

And I like how Al Sharpton keeps bringing it all back to Race.

They rolled his golden casket, with his corpse in it, into the middle of the stadium. Good Christ this is sick.
