Started off with a bonkers boy in, er, Not Hillmartin and not Deverill and definitely not dear old Hannington point, the other one. Having escaped his insane place - jet black walls, ceiling and floor, I spent a year and a half in a first floor squat in Hannington Point, where I previously rented over the 3 years there. the squat was a present from a girl I knew who'd gotten it from her Council worker boyfriend, whom she moved in with. I swear it had better fittings, carpets, curtains etc, than the rented places the students suffered. Free electric. So happy there. They blew it up years later.!!!

For me, this t shirt on some multi millionaire fit reality-impersonator raises the issues of that argument on here before, where one person talked about people being something they werent, and another got very insistent that they were no fraud at all.

Is Jolie really at heart someone who'd jump around at a Crass gig smelling of sweat and passion in her 2nd hand ripped old clothes, fresh from a squat full of idealism, anarchy and wacky backy? Or is she more like me, someone who 25 odd years ago liked to think they were like that, and went onto live in the odd squat in Hackney Wick and found it was all necessity of poverty and survival that you were part of any sub-culture with the associated lefty anarco whatever politics?

I respected Crass but I never soiled their gigs with my presence. So I'd never wear a t shirt with them on it, because I'd never be up to what I saw them as standing for.

It seems like there are examples of shit musicians who listen to good music--Morrissey reuniting the New York Dolls (and president of their UK fan club), Rick Okasek from the Cars producing goups like Bad Brains, and of corse Nirvana citing good groups like the Joke and Meat Puppets as influences. It makes you wonder...

I agree.

Among the gazillion of bands that are antithetical to KJ, I'd also add Chicago and their abuse of Bauhaus t-shirts:
