Michael Jackson made entirely vaccuous pop music devoid of any meaningful
message. Moreover, despite efforts to the contrary, it desperately tried on
occassion to rock, but failed miserably.

 

Kiss have no meaningful message either, other than hedonism and avarice.
That said, they rocked.

 

Rush are nothing if not entirely meaningful and rock mightily. You may not
like it, but you're free to treat your eardrums like urinals if you so
choose.

I would disagree.
Both KJ and MJ are influenced by dance music
Both KJ and MJ focus on environmental issues in their lyrics
Both KJ and MJ (sometimes) have grinding guitars (Slash has played with MJ)
Kiss/Rush are moreso of Killing jokes antitheses, moreso then MJ is .
