The Teardrop Explodes are ace (groovy 80s reference there, you'll notice).

I was a bouncing baby...

Erratum : they'd actually released 4 in Ireland before "I Will Follow" : the
"3" EP, "Another Day", "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" and "A Day Without Me".

================

Yes, "I Will Follow" was their first UK single, although they'd released
three singles by that stage in Ireland.

And yes, "New Year's Day" was one of theirs, at the start of the stupid flag
waving business.

At least I sold my records; giving them away would have been even more
galling. I sold my Damned vinyl at about the same time (needed a new car),
and regretted that too. Still, got pretty much everything on CD now.
