Hi Steve,

Likewise was just to the left of the mixing desk so can’t believe I never saw you. It was desperately empty though and probably would have filled the smaller academy! Amazing memory and dead impressed you can get the set list together. There are a few on there that I am not familiar with. I think it was the first night and he did seem to be worried about his voice although that was probably the best I have seen them.

Mike

Amazed I didn't see you as there were only 8 other people there!! We stood in front of the mixing desk

great night, Ive scan read some other mails and their questions may have been answered elsewhere but the full set list was, I think

public image / careering / this is not a love song / poptones / albatross / tie me to the length of that / the suit / death disco / four enclosed walls / flowers of romance / psychopath / disappointed / warrior / USLS 1 / banging the door / chant / bags / memories / annalisa / religion.
Encore - sun / rise /open up.

I thought Public Image the song was a bit ropey but once Careering kicked in it was great - Johnny was on top form, a two and a quarter hour set and he'll never make the week of gigs - his voice just won't be up to it, glad we got in early ;0)

Hi Steve,

Sorry never saw this email - just got back from Birmingham tonight. Thought they were brilliant and Lydon was exceptional and sang really well despite needing the words. Lu Edmonds for me played a blinder. For those going turn away now but we had Public Image, Careering, Not a Love Song, Poptones, Memories, Flowers, Banging the door, Death Disco, Religion, Annalisa, awesome version of Albatross, Rise and an excellent version of Open Up to name a few. Really enjoyed it despite the cost and the fact it was a bit on the sparse side.
