I have never seen KJlive. Yeah, I ama poseur, etc. The light cliked on for me, coming from a slogfest-y, Amebix-ian background, upon hearing "Hosannas" and thinking, crips, this is the band that toured with Joy Division back in the day!

So, my ideal set list for a show?

===

1. Stage is black. Suddenly, the bass intro to "Money is Not Our God" rumbles on to the crowd, still in the blackness. The punchy snare snares roll, lights flash up, people start pogo-ing, and Jaz is already out there, surprisingly: "Nine tenths of the law that is sick, is posssession..."

The crowd would go nuts with this opening. My philosophy is: Err on the side of doing a doing a barnstormer rather than a slow buildup. 9Musicallly, that is *ahem*)

2. "The Wait" 'nuff said.Maybe they are tired of it. But them's the breaks for writing a classic. What a hard life they have.

3. "Hosannas from the Basements of Hell title track. Yep, I like. a d-beat thrasher. Screw everyone else, you know you would try to get into the pit when this flared up.

4. "Tabazan" - beefed up ad made a bit more modern, butchunky Mid-Eastern goodness all the same.

5. "Complications"

6. "Pssyche"

7. "Frenzy" - fuck yes, FRENZY!

8. "Eighties" - similar garage stomper drumbeat

9. "Total Invasion"

10. "Implosion" (Motorhead worship, and there is nothing wrong with that.)

11. "S036" - slow sludgy apocalyptic stuff, but classic

12. "Requiem"

13. "Sun Goes Down"

14. "Absent Friends" - yep, maybe their most underrated song ever

15. "Seeing Red"

16. "Whiteout"

17. "Exorcism"

18. "Me or You" (sorry but I NEED to hear this live!)

Anything else would be icing on the cake :)
