[kj] RIP Les Paul OT But it could Be Linked

Les Paul is linked to everything in modern music and his influence on modern
music is unmatched.



I saw him play at the Iridium jazz club in NYC on his 92nd birthday.

That night, he was as funny with jokes as any above average comedian. His
playing was simplified to the point of the most profound mastery. As a
guitarist in his later years he choose notes placed and phrased in ways that
made every bar of instrumental moment at peace within the song. Les Paul had
come full circle and played zen like.for me there is only one other
guitarist who does this sort of thing.imagine who he is???
