yeah I will be in spain, I leave the 9th, guess I will arrive on the 10th,


and i leave the 14th, let's get together! I only have one gig during the
trip - although there are a few friends playing at the fest I might want to
see - but otherwise I will be looking to get to bacelona find some Gaudi,
some Cuban cigars and whatever other fun I can come up with.too bad Killing
Joke isn't playing in Barcelona!!!!!!!

What's up?  It's Adam.  I just saw your friend request on Myspace for the
modern don juans.  Good stuff!  You're standing upright with your upright
bass, with your head above the heavens and your feet below the hells!!
(courtald talks reference!)  Anyway, you mentioned maybe hanging out in
Austin sometime but I've got a better idea!  How about Spain!?!  Are you
going to be playing at the show in Spain that is posted on your myspace
page?  I am honestly on the verge of getting a ticket to Barcelona from
Sept. 5th to the 13th.  A couple of my friends from NY are planning a trip
there then and invited me.  Barcelona is a short donkey ride away from the
town where your show is!!  I'll keep you posted.  I make it over there, the
first round of cervezas is on me!

Great stuff there, scherzomortale. And now it's made me think.. Is it just
me or does 

KJ's early live sets sound more vibrant and infectious than recent (2003,
2008) live gigs?  

In comparison, theire recent live sets sound more labored, less.. "alive"
(at least as seen on Youtube).
