Agreed. If KJ can take "Baby Come Back" and fashion "Eighties" out of it, then, say, Ladytron tackling Butcher, Aeon or Unspeakable could be very promising.

I agree that nothing is gained by "near-original" versions.  I'd rather listen to, say, Pet Shop Boys, doing a take on MIlennium rather than any metal outfit copycating (they won't beat the original)...
