    What got us into this mess was Politicians selling our rights down the river to business, decades ago.
    I would prefer to say realism, not cynicism.
    When we exert are rights of assembly and speech you end up with this years G20 incident, but I am not saying do not protest, or petition, as they are in essence still rights.
    It's all business as usual.

    Folk: Um, yeah -- I do. You don't have to, of course -- and that's within your rights to do so. But I actually believe paying attention, voting, calling your elected reps, speaking out and volunteering in your community still count for something.

    No, I don't wear rose-colored glasses. But I refuse to cave into cynicism -- that's what got us into this mess into the first place.
