Jim Carrey is an odious twat, actually. I cite "The Mask" as a particularly
noxious example of his slappable mugging. The exception that proves the rule
is "The Truman Show". Still, at least his hair in the Letterman clip is long
enough to throttle him with.

 

Caruso is an acting flyweight who has the most embarrassing removing or
replacing sunglasses as a prop adjunct to delivering an appalling line (CSI

: Miami is full of tripe like "Hmm." (removed sunglasses) "Elephant dung."

(replaces sunglasses)). "Jade" is his absolute nadir.  His exception is
"Session 9"; no idea where that came from but the film, and Caruso, are
great. Actually, didn't he do a Mamet film? Mamet's direction sited Caruso's
vapid, laboured style and delivery pretty well.

What got us into this mess was Politicians selling our rights down the river
to business, decades ago.
I would prefer to say realism, not cynicism.
When we exert are rights of assembly and speech you end up with this years
G20 incident, but I am not saying do not protest, or petition, as they are
in essence still rights.
It's all business as usual.

Folk: Um, yeah -- I do. You don't have to, of course -- and that's within
your rights to do so. But I actually believe paying attention, voting,
calling your elected reps, speaking out and volunteering in your community
still count for something.

No, I don't wear rose-colored glasses. But I refuse to cave into cynicism --
that's what got us into this mess into the first place.
