Now Obama is swerving the other way.

(from CNN just now,)

Obama doesn't rule out prosecuting Bush officials
"President Obama on Tuesday left open the possibility of criminal
prosecution for Bush administration officials who drew up the legal
basis for interrogation techniques..."
Notice it's only for the Bush lawyers who drew up the paperwork.

(Notice it's only for the Bush lawyers who drew up the paperwork.)

... ... ... ... ... ...

[looking at the current state of things..]

'Save me...
  save me from Tomorrow..
I don't want to sail in this Ship Of Fools...'

I for one think the Bush Admin should be held accountable. I mentioned this on the list a while back.
Maybe some people think it would be too divisive, currently?
It stinks of absolution, again. Always 'sorry' after the fact.

Does anyone think that the US can turn this around? Or is it a decline in the pre-eminence of the US? Obama just happens to be the first guy in after the last great destroyer, Bush. But I was pissed off that he doesn’t seem interested in pursuing legal action against the Bush administration for war crimes, that rhetoric about looking forward instead is pretty weak. How can he say he feels accountable for what he does if he lets Bush waltz away after what he’s done?
