TTs in Boston has been one of the greatest places in the world for the last 20+ years. It holds about 200 people, and I've seen Mick Jones (Carbon /Silicon), both John Doe and Exene from X (different nights), Henry Rollins band, Mike Watt, Pylon, Waco Brothers, and about a million other bands there.

As far as Jane's is concerned, saw them at TT's in Boston years ago and thought they were pretty awful. At the time they and the Pumpkins were being hailed as some sort of new big thing, when it came off more like repackaged arena rock. Must be said Perkins was/is a pretty great drummer, though.
Farrells best contribution to the music world was starting the Lollapollooza thing, which, although being bounced around by different organizers in recent years, it was still a pretty great thing. Navarro is more concerned with being a rock star than a great musician. Best of luck with their rent party but I'll be skipping it.
On another note, hopefully Jaz will keep his drinking under control enough to make a good record and tour in a few months. - Carl P

I remember seeing Jane's Addiction back in '87. I must confess that I was not impressed, at all.
However, since then I've come to appreciate the band. But it took awhile ....

I am having a hard time with this. I loved Jane's Addiction and saw them twice during the original days.
I never contemplated ANY of the "reunions". Every part of that band was equal to the sum of the whole. And honestly I never thought I would see this.

And I am a bit surprised that it is Farrell that is causing the angst with Avery.
Because everything I have heard is that Navarro is premadonna now to work with.
BUT it sounds like Farrell is, still, causing the problems by looking at the last aborted JA tour and how Navarro and Perkins went on to that abysmal attempt of a band. And maybe it is the drugs. Farrell doesn't apologize for it. And Avery wants noth ing to do with it (look at him he is HUGE).

I am way over NiN. I don't hate them but I have no desire to see them ever again. As of now I am not making any attempt to go. Maybe if Jane's Addiction did their own thing and it was in smaller venues I would be more likely.

The whole reformation/reunion thing is getting a bit out of hand

We'll see

Chris
