Good post Exo. I do think many people are pissed about the banks especially getting $700 billion (isn't that figure right?) in tax-funded bailout cash. Many are also pissed that Obama appointed some of these same culprits of the financial crisis in his cabinet. Still, it seemed that most of yesterday's all-of-a-sudden protesters were right wingers (they interviewed a woman on my local news who led the ballot question that tried to end income tax in Massachusetts--that would have wiped out tons of jobs, closed even more schools, etc)

Well, other than the dedicated protesters most ppl. tend to avoid that stuff as they have many other
important things to do as well. It just means that there are groups of individuals that got fed up and 
decided to voice their opinions. However what these individuals are doing are going counter to everything
that has been promoted by the media and they don't like it. Hence, the mockery and marginalization of it. 

If you looked at the signs and listened to what people complained, it was not all about taxes. It has to 
do with the massive spending that the gov't is planning. It simply can not be covered without raising
taxes on everyone. Even if the gov't were to triple the tax on the wealthiest is would fall far short.
There were actually quite a few republicans that tried to show up and the rallies and got boo'd off
as well.

I was merely quoting your words. Maybe I put to much emphasis on words that
people say and should've thought "maybe he means protest or demonstrate"?
I did, but then wondered why the choice word of riot came up. I guess that sometimes
I'm just not so quick on the button. You'll have to forgive me.

I'll be responding to the astro-turfing in a bit.

It is amazing, however, that when one side protests is all for valid reasons. When they other side protests
it's all because they are a bunch of losers.
