[kj] (OT) Police Brutality part 2

   I'm liking the French workers' model of handling these things more and more, whether it's with Caterpillar, Sony, other huge corporations or the shipyards of Marseilles, they're taking hostages (managers,etc.) whenever layoffs are announced and not taking "non" for an answer.
  I think of that whenever i hear someone trying to put down the french.

You took the words out of my mouth. 
Nothing new, e.g. the Poll Tax demos, crowds crushed by horses etc.
How about Churchill's years in the Home office? :/
They want it to become like the States, where you can't even look a Policeman in the eye, unless you want harassment.
Both Americans and most Europeans  still have the right of assembly, it is a shame the 'authorities' disagree.
