One of the early synth pioneers was Edvard Artemyev, who among other
things made soundtracks for Andrei Tarkovsky. He started working with
the ANS synth around 1970, and now has more than 200 albums,
soundtracks and scores behind him.

His score for the movie Solyaris is no less than stunning.
