Speaking of 'Tackhead at the end'
I met Tackhead once in a lifeless bar called The Purple Effect in
Manchester.
It was under the Corn Exchange til the IRA blew it up.
Anyway, they'd been told that that was the place to go after a show &
we'd got wind of & as we missed the gig it so went.
It was dead & I mean it was literally us, tackhead & the barstaff.
Still we got to chat with DW & Skip for a bit.
The rest of them looked unhappy & unapproachable & they all didn't
stay long, but DW was a lovely guy, really friendly & chatty.
This always makes me smile.
I went for a piss & as I walked in there was a flush, the door clicked
open & an embarrassed looking Doug Wimbish froze for a second like a
rabbit in the headlights, offered me a weak "oh no! you know i've just
had a poo" type grin/nod then went to wash his hands.
Strange site. He's a big man, dressed head to toe in black leather
uncurling himself from this tiny cubicle then.
Call me childish but what was funny was how embarrassed he was - you'd
think he'd been caught shagging a goat & believe me that IS
embarrassing.

That guy from Ride
I still like Flea
Dan K Brown - the bassline on Less Cities More Moving People is as
distinctive as Love Like Blood
