[kj] O/T 50 guitar legends

For those that don't know, Zane Lowe is a motormouthed radio 1 DJ in Britain who appears on lots of TV programmes. Festival coverage etc.

He's rather excitable and talks a fair bit of gibberish but seems pretty harmless. I believe he is a Kiwi, so, y'know, you have to make allowances ;-)

Listening to you lot grumble about the list is funny.

Sat there in your slippers and pipes bemoaning the fact that Freddie Fast Fingers ain't on the list.
The people who normally watch these things are 13 years old and don't want to know about all the old farts.

That said, my 13 year old was showing me some Jimmy Page licks last night and impressed me so much that I felt the time was right to hand down one of my SG's. Me? well, I'm just an old timer that's going off to an ice flow now...............

In all honesty I think heavy players rule in general and most of the best
players are from heavy bands...Gilmour and some others being the
exception.

This guy has some weird obsession with contemporary shitpop
bands...doesn't know his ass from his elbow in terms of players. Glad we
all agree on that.

PS: I can see Slash in a top 10, top 2 is a bit much maybe but I can live
with it in terms of personal preference, can easily understand anyone
liking him more than any other guitarist.
