A key element of Killing Joke is their spiritual side... We are all adults here, and yes, if the element of respect is agreed upon, which I assume it is, then why could we not discuss spiritual elements? Certainly, I am not proposing this become the primary focus, but KJ would not have garnered the interest they enjoy now (curb your giggles ;) if they did not flirt with esoteric imagery their entire career. It would be insulting to everyone to deny it. I am not talking about "my religion/spiritual practice/belief system is superior to yours, nah nah nah".....but we are not
on the Britney Spears list. You can say I am a dreamer, but I believe we can meet on common ground and those who don't want to participate obviously don't have to.....

But killing any discussion of any topic just makes it more intriguing, wouldn't you say?

Bette

i don't think that there's enough spiritual speculation on this list, and i for one would like to see a whole lot more. it ties in more with KJ than where punk started thats for sure!
that said, i dont think that most here can handle a lofty discussion without it turning into complete shit - maybe thats just a web thing, i'm sure that we'd all be our better selves in person... i'd hope so anyway.

are the subject headers not easy enough to spot and ignore? can us few who enjoy both the music of Killing Joke and open discussion on Nature of All Things have our moment in the sun once in a while?

i mostly lurk these days anyways, but i love the chance to talk religion, in 'real' life i do it any chance i can get!

Big Jah Luv to all of you fckn cnuts!

Just a thought: Is anyone else as bored and/or strenuously put off by this discussion as I am? I'm not trying to be the OT police, but really -- this is boring, divisive and seemingly endless.

Maybe I'm wrong. Whatever. Religion is a fucking indefensible scourge. Let's please move on.
