[kj] Bullshit Religion Discussion/Danish show "The Kingdom"

I understand where you are coming from, Alex, just last week I had some fundamentalists of a certain religion (with perfect manicures and hair) come to my door and attempt to convert me to their way of thought. I was not very pleased, jaysus.

All I am saying is there is a difference between prostelytizing and discussion. I don't see what is so horrible about a discussion, when as said, a key element about KJ you have to admit is their esoteric religious references.

Well, I haven't left the room, but I'm not about to bore everybody with my own spiritual convictions (or abject lack thereof) any further. I wouldn't presume anyone would care.

Alex, you remind me of a very funny relative of mine. He always wants to stop a troubling discussion by making an assertion that expresses his sentiments fully... then he flies out of the room before anyone can reply. Just sayin' ;)

Speaking of spirituality, has anyone seen the Danish show from 1995 called "The Kingdom"? Just started watching it and it is outrageously good!

I was a little worried what the whole Gathering forum looked like to any new
people checking it out when the subject header was "Official Site" and the thread
was nonstop Religions. Yikes. Talk about beingly wildly misrepresented.
I know for a fact Kieran Craig unsubbed about a day or so after first saying "hi."

(so, punk started as a reaction to more conventional medieval troubadour music of that time?)

Just a thought: Is anyone else as bored and/or strenuously put off by this discussion as I am? I'm not trying to be the OT police, but really -- this is boring, divisive and seemingly endless.

Maybe I'm wrong. Whatever. Religion is a fucking indefensible scourge. Let's please move on.
