exactly what i am trying to get across i neither condemn or promote sin as i
try to live according to jehovah's wishes although i know i have weeknesses
in certain areas

 

A true Christian is supposed to preach the faith and save fellow souls from
damnation, so saying you don't condemn or promote sin.stop talking nonsense.
Of course you do. Have the balls to stand up for what you believe and behind
what you say. If you're going to condemn me / us for being sinners, take it
on the chin when you get it back.

Why follow someone else's doctrine? Surely you know what is inherintly
right, it's simple, you know the difference between right and wrong, you
make your choices, you dont need a threat hanging over you to make a choice.
Self determination, it's simple.

Well, just to back you up a bit Stephen, I've heard some good things about
the dude Jesus, like that he was in some ways the 1st communist. (I've also
heard about a book that postulates that he was a combination of several real
people rather than just 1, but that may not be the main issue). One thing
that always confused me about Catholicism (and I know you're religion is
quite different--yes, I can distinguish differences, unlike PETER WEST) was
that people seem to confess sins each week and then go out and commit the
same ones again--I think that is one thing that has turned off many (former)
Catholics. Maybe the JW's have a better handle on the sin issue!

i have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to have an intelligent
and informed debate on here because users choose to just pick parts of a
conversation to use for misquoting and misinformation to further thier own
selfish agenda which usually results in petty sniping andcharacter
assassination

I'm with Jel on this one. While I respect other people's faiths, I don't
care much for fervent Christian proselytizing (after fourteen years of

hhhmmm brendan your arguement is flawed in that it shows you have not
studied the bible or you would know what i mean about bible wisdom even down
to the wisdom about doing things in moderation whethrer it be eating or
exercising..have a go at the book proverbs ..and then see how you feel ..i
am not familiar with nietzsche andregarding the killing joke lyric that also
shows jaz's ignorance of bible teaching as none of us will get back what is

english language i either have forgotten or in fact don't know what an
oxymoron is ....christendom is definitly NOT what christianity is all about

happen when he left but jehovah in his patience and wisdom has given mankind
time to turn back to him but know's man's sinful nature will prevent him
...so he will establish HIS kingdom to save mankind from itself

No, actually, that's not what Christianity is all about at all, and 'Bible
Wisdom' is an oxymoron.

 

As Nietzsche pointed out, it's all about taking the centre of gravity out of
the here and now and putting it into some myth of Heaven and Hell.

PS: Christianity perverts sexuality more than homosexuality. The Pope is
against effective birth control for starving AIDS-ridden Africans. And the
catholic church (amongst others) is under assault from all the cases of
priests' kiddie fiddling. You couldn't find an organisation where it was
more institutionalised.
