[kj] Versions of S036?

Hi Oliver,

The reason for the confusion is that on the sleeve of the vinyl release, the "S" can easily be mis-read for a dollar sign.? (I don't think it was deliberate, but who knows.)? I suspect that this was exacerbated by the fact that it wasn't one of the frequently played tracks from the LP (i.e. just about all of the others), so?Joke fans will not have?heard it announced by the band.? (Did it *ever* get played live???It's not on any of performances I'm aware of.)

The only version I know of (aside from this tour) is the album version.

Jamie

Does anyone know of any versions of S036 besides the one on the s/t 1980 LP? What releases are they on, if any??
?
I ask because the ive version I heard on YouTube sounds a lot heavier -- more "updated" as they say -- than the original on the LP. Any demos or Peel Sessions, etc., of this track??
?
And why is the song known by so many different title variations? "$0.36," "Dollar 36," "S036," "S.0.36," "SO36," etc.??
?
-Oliver?
