[kj] [KJ] OT: Why rednecks may rule the world...

At times like this I like to point out that computers are still inferior
in processing power to the human brain...around 2020 that's gonna change.
By 2030 they will far surpass us. We're in for a really "interesting"
time. Not many people understand how artificial intelligence research has
been lacking in processing power. The power available to them until
recently has been equivalent to the brains of insects. Hence most lay
people expressing opinions that computers will never rival the human brain
are arguing from a point of ignorance.

More and more as they increase the processing power, the results get
weirder and weirder, scientists have mentioned 'ghosts in the
machine'...and the weird feeling in some experiments, as they actually
increase the computational power, that there is some kind of alien
intelligence discernible in there.
