If it was primitive people hunting and eating turtles as a staple diet, then I could accept that .
   But I feel that Gregs family doing that to a turtle wasn't for nutritional purposes , it sounds like it was done for entertainment and killing animals for entertainment is sickening .

I'm very opened minded about cultures, but that's beyond the pale to me.
