[kj] Apology

Well, I'll say this: We may not see eye to eye on the political world (who the hell actually does, these days?), but you're a very gracious person.
And I'll keep you out of the family drama! : )

Until next time ...

Why not expect me to respond? :)

I read it and apology accepted though I don't think there was much need for one.
Things get heated and words get thrown about, I've been guilty of the same many
a time. :)

I don't take things personally so no worries. (Unless your family at the dinner table, then all bets are off!).

Best Wishes,
Me

Hi, Exorcist (or whatever your real name is; it's kind of weird to greet someone that way!):

I am writing to apologize for some of my comments to you yesterday. Clearly, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and guess I had little patience with some of your arguments, as well-intended as they may have been.
While I strongly disagree with your basic premise about this election, and Barack Obama, it was juvenile of me to respond in the manner that I did towards the end of the day.
Don't expect to hear back from you, but I hope you read this.

Heya Oliver, Gotta love hypocrisy!

2:30 into the first clip is really an interesting part as is 2:53 as is 3:35.

I don't care much for the movie parts or the subtitles but those clippings

are quite compelling.

Point being, all politicians engage in hypocrisy.

This Jon Stewart/Daily Show segment on the hypocrisy of right-wing smear campaigns regarding Palin, Obama, Clinton, et. al., is so brilliant it ought to be preserved in the Library of Congress's national film registry:

It shows how the right/GOP position shifts very selectively, duplicitously, when it comes to things like sexism (Hillary is "whining" when she implies sexism works against her; Sarah Palin is a victim of sexism, however, when people critique her, etc., etc.) or a candidate's "experience."

Brilliant. Thank god (?) this show is on TV. I just wish the above link was required viewing in the US.

Competition is a barbaric, insensitive ritual that reeks of social Darwinism.

We cannot allow the fittest to survive on our pages. Your loss is someone

else's gain, and your gain is someone else's loss. Therefore, losers contribute

to the society and winners take away from it. Being a winner is unethical, while

a society of losers is happy and striving as a collective. In the spirit of diversity,

inclusiveness, and collectivism our contests shall have no winners.

Everyone is declared a loser, which in our book means an ethical team player.
