Dick Cheney has been in every GOP administration since the Ford years in
the 1970s.

What a lot of Americans don't understand is this: When you vote for the
President and Vice Presidet, you are not just vting for two people, or
eve two symbolic figureheads. You are voting, essentially, for the whole
crew that will come along with them, their advisers and handlers, who
will populate the entirety of the executive branch of the government f
the united states.

Bush Jr's team is a lot of recycled Reaganites. Another GOP
administration elected into the executive branch would probably keep
recycling these same fucking people in cabinet posts, undersecretary
positions, unelected positions like Sec'y of State, Sec'y o Labor. It
will be a lot of the same damned GOP loyalists who get appointed to all
these very important departments, all of which are under the
directorship of the executive branch. Cheney might very well find some
cabinet post in a new McCain administration (or he may be so unpopular
that he wouldn't). But a lot of the same ideologues, minders, handlers,
policy wonks, etc., will be in the McCain cohort, the same radical righ
ideologues that have been hangers-on since Reagan's days.
