What about Roman Polanski's oft-overlooked "REPULSION"?

That one, pre -"Rosemary's Baby," I thought was equally disturbing.

You probably know that REPULSION, ROSEMARY'S BABY, and THE TENANT are
part of Roman Polanski's unofficial horror trilogy of "modern urban
living." Each one deals with the claustrophobia or living in crowded
city spaces. Repulsion, starring Catherine Deneuve, is awesome.
Rosemary's Baby is still the best, but Repulsion is 2nd, and The Tenant,
which does have some Lynch-ian unsettling moments, is 3rd -- but still
good. Though uneven.

Another horror film Sharon Tate did, EYE OF THE DEVIL, is still
unofficially available on DVD. In it, Tate plays a pagan witch, and
footage was used often by the media after she was murdered by Manson to
imply she was involved in occult activities. I have a couple of
different bootleg versions of EYE OF THE DEVIL on DVD, a nice
atmospheric gothic chiller with David Niven, Deborah Kerr, David
Hemmings (BLOWUP), and Donald Pleasance (!) -- to this day unavailable
on DVD! I am not sure why, as Tate's murder and the Manson cult
surrounding it could surely make someone some money.
