Does anyone still get scared by films ?
I last film that I got scared watching was the one with the "We're coming to get you" one with the trees which came alive and attacked the quiet house on the Countryside.
I watched the film in the Countryside and the scenery outside where I was staying was the same as the scenery in the film .
They had an outside toilet quite a long way away from the main building of where I was staying , so I had a lash out the window .

I remember the first one opening upwith a Rob Zombie song (More human than human) that cuts into NIN (Hey Pig) with the guy in the stripper booth then later on in the film the person in the grave with the mouth all stitched up. I found it amazing but quite disturbing to say the least. I still enjoy that show a lot.I don't know if I'd classify it as horror, but it was spooky as fuck.At 07:09 AM 9/8/2008, B. I have to agree with Alex about Wicker Man. i think it is scarier if yu come from a Christian background, like The Omen. I have to admit when I was young the original Wicker Man scared me, but I re-watched it about a year ago and didn't find it so scary. In fact, some parts were laugh-out-loud cheesy, like the naked girl banging on the wall as she sings her "fertility song" or whatever. However, do recognize it's a classic of its kind.I am srprised no one mentioned Dario Argento's "Suspiria." As well, the ORIGINAL, 1970s "Black Christmas" I thought was surprisingly scary. The remake sucked, as they tend to do.Als, nowadays there's this big gray area of movies that are disturbing, but which are ot traditional horror films. Someone mentioned HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER. In that vein you have a lot of what is called the "New French Extremity" movement: IRREVERSIBLE and I STAND ALONE -- bitter, sick, bleak-as-fuck movies that are chilling and unnerving in a way that's different from, say THE SHINING, which I also count among the creepiest movies of all time. There is creepy and frightening in the sense of SALO: 120DAYS OF SODOM, or in the vein of HILLS HAVE EYES. The latter is like Halloween season scary; the former is a disturbing movie. There's so much Asian horror now that it's als hard to keep track of, like the 3 EXTREMES set, etc.-Oliver

Competition is a barbaric, insensitive ritual that reeks of social Darwinism. We cannot allow the fittest to survive on our pages. Your loss is someoneelse's gain, and your gain is someone else's loss. Therefore, losers contributeto the society and winners take away from it. Being a winner is unethical, whilea society of losers is happy and striving as a collective. In the spirit of diversity, inclusiveness, and collectivism our contests shall have no winners.Everyone is declared a loser, which in our book means an ethical team player.
