[kj] Four Stations of the Sun (lyrics)

Isn’t that interesting! I’d pronounce “poor” and “pore” identically. Grew up near the Forest of Dean (but without the Wurzels accent), and have a passing acquaintance with the hill too.

>From my etymological viewpoint, there's a definite difference between the pronounciation of 'tour' (which I would pronounce closer to 'poor' and 'coors') and 'tor'. Speaking as a west country man (and one who's been up that sodding hill more than a few times), 'tor' is pronounced in the same way as 'pore',

I pronounce “tor” and “tour” in exactly the same way, to rhyme with “door” (I’m sure, however, that etymologically speaking “tour” should rhyme with “poor” with a Scottish accent). I think Jaz probably does as well, if that’s any help.

I think that "tor" and "tour" are pronounced differently... "tour" is a French word, originally, right?
It's pronounced rather like "troubadour".
Which doesn't make rhyme with "before"... sorry : )

# could be either 'tour' or 'tor.' Both words are pronounced the same and make sense in the context of the song.
