I did, I play bass for her on most east coast to Midwest gigs and a few over
seas (spain this year) and eastern canadian gigs.

Did you also play with her at Lee's Liquor Lounge in Minneapolis a while
back? If so, small world.

Can't imagine killing joke at the knitting factory not enough space for NYC
compared to Webster hall in 03.

Although I played the knitting factory with Wanda Jackson a few months back
and it was quite perfect for her crowd.

That sounds a lot more interesting the booked opening act.

A couple of web sites have the KJ NYC gigs mistakenly located at the
Knitting Factory, which I find hilarious and sickly incongruous.

I hear John Zorn's Cobra is opening with Bill Frisell and there's a good
chance Evan Lurie and various members of Sonic Youth plan to join KJ
on-stage for an encore free-jazz skronkfest.

I guess I'll see you all downtown on Saturday...

I was going to review the gigs, but everyone has already said what I was
going to say. Feeling shattered now, but on a real emotional high. I can't
stop listening to the CDs, just can't believe I've seen the original
line-up, I never thought I'd live to see the day.

For me, Friday was the better night. Stand-out songs for me were "Exit" and
"Follow the Leaders". I don't think I've ever heard FTL live - hope it
becomes a regular in their set, it was fantastic. Somebody put a clip of it
on YouTube PLEASE! And the drumming on Exit is incredible. I've never heard
a drum pattern like it, before or since. First time I've heard it live too -
check out this clip:

I'm glad they didn't stick to song order on the albums, sometimes gigs don't
flow when bands do, and it always spoils the element of surprise.

USA Gatherers get ready - you're in for a treat - I'm SOOOOO jealous I can't
make it to NYC!

Regards to you all.
