Well what a weekend! drove down on Friday, dashed across London to meet my
Brother & Friends, meet some Jokers on the Tube sell a ticket for
Saturday, went to the pub (getting hazy by now could be the
Junction...drank too much and arrived with two spare tickets just too late
to sell them (a fucking expensive night was Friday) as I entered the hall
the Jokers started playing Requiem, just for me - obviously;) and it went
uphill from there, they tore through all my favourites, though my trip to
the bar during Unspeakable was possibly ill-timed. That inspired me to sup
up and fuck off down and have a a right royal mosh-up. For anyone who
bounced off, punched, jumped on a balding idiot in a khaki green shirt
Hello! For the others who stood back and watched, well...I know we are all
getting too old for this lark! Funniest moment turning round and seeing a
mate who was respectably dressed ten minutes ago bare chested flailing
about like an idiot!! Day two a visit to south London to see my sis, who I
haven't seen for a year, couple of pints up to Euston Road to meet a mate
and exchange ticket for cash from an NY gatherer, few more pints, ask the
bar staff to put the Challenge cup on, so they stick the ManUre game on
FFS!!! - tootle up to Kentish Town wonder how the fuck anyone does
anything quickly in London...meet some middle aged people who really
shouldn't have pink hair at 45, then again...why not! bump into a dairy
farmer from Finland & his entourage over for his 40th and generally have an
amiable time meeting all sorts of punks and goths from here there and
everywhere. Fall over a lot more than last night down at the front, try to
get into after show party, nearly succeed, possibly too pissed...(find out
next day we had a mate who would have swung it had he known we were
there...) miss last train back to St. Albans where we were staying and have
to commandeer a taxi - £50 lighter by end of said journey, roll in towards
3pm, wake up bruised and battered later try and explain it to my son, who
thought it sounded like a lot of fun! Maybe they will still be pounding out
that racket in 8 years time when we can both go...who knows. Now I need to
get back to paying off this little jollie so if anyone needs any design,
let me know! Oh my aching bones and ringing ears!
