A flag?? That sh!te's a full fuckin' Coat of Arms, there; I'm not sure we're good enough for that yet.
We would need the Island and grand wizard-duke to approve all the titles and heraldry and the like.

Read the indie press, and even videos on youtube! Example: I work at an
investment bank, and it's funny...I hear conversations at work regularly
about how the whole current financial mess was impossible to predict(!) This
is from the big wigs (managers) and currency / equity traders. And you hear
the same viewpoint by pundits on the mainstream television shows. "No one
saw this coming." Whether it's people bullshitting themselves because they
have lost half of their net worth, or they can't face the fundamental fact
that the fundamentals they held to be true about markets and their
contribution to society is all turning into quicksand...who knows. But it's
not accurate.

I was posting about it ages ago, only because I'd read articles written by
other people. If you stick to the mainstream press, and hang around with
people who are only connected to information via the mainstream, you get a
filtered view of the world.

Thankfully there's a sliver of independent press, independent thinkers,
documentary makers, there's youtube (even with its legions of moronic
comment posters), The Onion / The Daily Show (political satire), blogs,
forums, Noam Chomsky, John Pilger, Robert Fisk, Mike Moore, Michael Meacher,
Richard Dawkins, Pat Condell, Killing Joke, Tool, Joe Rogan...

RIP Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Robert Anton Wilson, and a whole host of
others

Oh and China has the largest online population of anywhere, The Great
Firewall has been breached and they have a very active blogging community
that's finally giving accurate information to the person on the street.

It's a good idea to do what you can as well. I make DVDs of documentaries
and give them to people, stuff like The Corporation and Zeitgeist...then I
check back 6 months later and no one has watched them. Haha...at least I
try!
