Wait...what?!?!?  Look I cannot deny being a Kiss fan up until 1979 (first concert I ever saw at the age of 5) and the Creatures of Night release.  But are you really going to use Is That You as an example of Paul Stanley's flamboyant prowess?  No offense.....BWAhhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahjaha.  I guess you didn't put Shandi in there or She's So European.
I feel like a jack ass for even knowing those songs

Chris

Some of my favorite singers would be:

David Gahan of Depeche Mode (Never get tired of him)

Paul Stanley of Kiss (He's an amazing singer.Even if Kiss did go and turn into a money hungry shit factory....or maybe always were. This guy is a great Rock singer.Songs like "Rock Bottom,Is That You?,Comin' Home, and Makin Love" prove it.)

Dwight Yoakam (This guy is brilliant.Listen to songs like "Buenas Noches From A Lonely Room (She Wore Red Dresses)" or "Population Me" or "Blame The Vain" or his cover of Johnny Cash's "Understand Your Man or "Dreams Of Clay." This is the only guy making  Real country music nowadays.Everybody else sucks and they know it.)

Robert Plant (Could never leave him off.)

Rob Halford from Judas Priest (He really is a great singer.Especially on the earlier Priest stuff.I think he's at his best though when he's just delivering it plain and simple and worrying less about hitting a couple of those higher notes.)

Forgive me if I've overlooked it, but has no one mentioned Liz Fraser of the Cocteau Twins yet?

Sublime vocalist, to my ears.

Nah, if you rub your finger around his belly like a wine glass it would make that same vibrating tone..

Btw, 2 more singers i can never get enough of...

Dusty Springfield - among the top singers (play "The Look Of Love" and see if you don't get laid because of that
                            saxophone solo towards the end)
Strawberry Switchblade - prolly my guiltiest pleasure ever. I keep some of their live/John Peel Sessions in the car
on sem-permanent rotation - along with the Head Shop Girls (aka Pet Shop Boys).
