But I am still genuinely stunned and amazed that the Republicans didn't steal it. But then, who would want to steal power in this America and its horrible conditions right now. Maybe they thought it's a lose-lose situation, "no thanks."

I think the meaning in his speech was in the tone with which he gave it, as if it dawned on him noe even more that he now has (given the unbelievable condtitions u.s./world are in) the most unenviable job in the world, and in this real-time Reality, too, ifyouknowwhatImean....
