The past sure was tense!
The surviving mice know the dead one is dead and they are smart ennough to realise that they also might end up dead unless they stay on the lower floors with the drug addled twits.

One mouse keeled over of its own volition on the day I interviewed Genesis P-Orridge. That was the last one that got into my home.
