bah...

It'd be nice.... Although I might be laid off soon...so who knows!

What about Benicio Del Toro as Jaz? ;)

P.S.:

On a much more neurotic, "alternative/indie," or "querky"-neurotic-edgy angle,
there's..

Alan Cummings or PeeWee Herman as Youth
Glen Rockwell or Ed Norton as Geordie
and Nicholas Cage* as Jaz Coleman

*or, Ben Stiller or
Robert Carlyle [think Begbie in Trainspotting..],

That is pretty close.

For a younger Geordie, maybe
(a blond) Hugh Jackman as Geordie http://www.everyguy.com/images/hugh_jackman/hugh_jackman5_eg.jpg
and either John Cusack or Mike Myers as Youth.

Always thought Geordie looked like actor Charles Dance:

I'd cast Joacquin Phoenix as Jaz in an imaginary biopic, and John Stamos as Big Paul;
Keanu Reeves can be Youth, Tim Curry would be Paul Raven and a young Rutger Hauer as Geordie.

I don't mind Phoenix, (although his name sounds like a semi ridiculous
stage name, if it's not I stand corrected), but I thought him doing Johnny
Cash was a bit luke warm to be honest.
