I
I'm not sure but Is this now the 3rd release of this? Was never a huge fan of the recording. To me it would have to be re-mixed as well to really make me interested. A remastering doesn;t always mean "better"

Cheers

Digitally remastered official release of this long unavailable live album

1985 was KILLING JOKEs most successful & commercial period to date. This CD (released officially here for the first time ever and digitally re mastered with the bands blessing) catches KILLING JOKE Live on that 1985 tour.

Released in the past under names such as 'No Way Out But Forward Go' & again 'Love Like Blood Live' it catches a great live set from Lorely Rockaplast, Germany on August 17 1985. Also contained here especially for this release are 2 bonus tracks live from London from the same tour. These 2 tracks have never been officially released before.

Going back though to August 1984 the classic KILLING JOKE line up of Jaz Coleman (vocals, keyboards); Geordie (guitar); Paul Raven (bass); Paul Ferguson (drums) traveled over to Hansa Ton studios in Berlin to record the album Night Time. This recording took place through to September 1984. Eighties had been released as a single in April 1984 but Love like Blood was the single that preceded the album and was released February 1985. It made it to number 16 in the national charts (the bands highest ever chart single). This resulted in the bands second TOTP TV appearance (Empire Song in 1982 being their first). The album Night Time was eventually released March 1985 and it made it to number 11 in the national charts and stayed charted for 9 weeks. "We've made an album that we all love and feel very strongly about. You must live to extremes, as fully as you can, and then the music will always be there within you. We have perspectives on the madness in our lives, that's all.
There's very few people who'll die for their beliefs. The relationship between the majority of artists and their subjects is very weak " Jaz 1985.

Reviews for the album were generally very positive. Following the success of the single and album the band marched on to their biggest tour to date, The 'Night Time Tour' which was a world tour (with Dave Kovecevic joining them on keyboards).taking in for the first time Japan & Australia and playing many European festivals. This whole period is still thought of by many as KILLING JOKE finest hour and this whole chapter in the bands history remains one of the more poignant moments to come out of what was (as far as music is concerned anyway!) a pretty dreary and dull time. The last word goes to Jaz. "This is a record I can live for. And die for. It's something I could leave as a legacy.
