[kj] [KJ] OT: Chameleons fans...

Yeah, I think its' Jo or Janeane that knows Dave. One of 'em told me off for Dave bashing on this list - I was SO disappointed that the band hads gone t!ts-up again. I think it's simply down to Dave & Birdy not getting on. I think Reg will just go along with Dave as they're long time mates. The last fall-out was embarrassingly done on the Chams forum, for all to see... spite aplenty !!!

Ooh, these creative types, eh ;)

There are people on this list, cant remeber who, who knows Dave Fielding and drinks in the same pub in Lincoln. Maybe they will spill the beans but if not I think the book will.

The Chameleons run KJ close for being my favourite band.

Ade,

Yes, I agree. :) The Chameleons are so under rated and just a tell all book would be nice. I think Mark's will set the record straight about why they broke those two times. But another one would be nice that is if it will ever happened?

That opening to Swamp Thing is fuckin awesome! When going to work in the morning on the bus (1989 style age 21) I would bring my boom box and blast that Swamp Thing at the bus stop! You should have seen the looks I use to get from people in their cars waiting for the light to change! Classic! LOL!

Man! "Tears 1 & 2" gets me bro! :)

Yeah LB, you got me! No, I've not got 'round to ordering the book yet, though will do at some point.

Like the Joke, it's about time there were a decent book out there JUST about the Chams ! Yet another

big influence/fave band :)

Just imagine the opening bars of Swamp Thing. Jaysus, now I need tissues.

Ade,

I bet you got those from the Yahoo! Chameleons list today? ;)

I found out about Confuse The Cat a year or so ago and downloaded some of their stuff which in a lot of ways sounds like Dave & Reg. Pretty good.

As for The Perverted stuff... I really do not like the singer too.

The John Lever solo stuff and Bushart have some good tunes.

Thanks for putting that up.

Have you pre-ordered Mark Burgess's bio book "View From a Hill"?

It should be a killer read! :)

Cheers,
