[kj] OT: New Goldfrapp album

Yeah, the direction change from Felt Mountain to Black Cherry was more
radical, I guess. But this time it's a braver move as there's a bigger
fan-base (gained from the mass appeal of the dancey stuff) and a greater
possibility of upsetting folk. Which makes me admire them even more.

Actually, the more I listen to it, it doesn't seem so different anymore
- Happiness is a direct descendant of Satin Chic for instance.

Roll on Bridgewater Hall, really looking forward to seeing them at that
lovely venue. As opposed to the crummy Academy.

I love Goldfrapp & I think it's lovely & agree with you Janean about it
possibly being their best.
I quite like Fink & there's overtones of him here as well.

It's no more a radical direction change as from the 1st album to the 2nd
& I admire them as a band to reinvent their sound so radically.

lushness in a bra with a big dollop of spangly pants.

one?

I was severely disappointed on first listen, yesterday.

However, I changed my opinion as soon as I put it on for a
second play.

And after 4 plays I think it might just be their best...
