In the goth/industrial clubs I've been to here in Los Angeles, on the rare occassion
i hear a Killing Joke song played, it is either usually "Love Like Blood"or - more rarely -
"Sanity" even. *gulp* Ok.....

What i do hear more of is more Joy Division, She Wants Revenge, Bauhaus, etc.

And i'm glad to see anyone go to a KJ show. Even if a busload of Insane Clown
Posse fans go because they think the 2003/Crusty-the-Clown cd cover was a nod to them,
so be it: buy a beer and enjoy the show...

In my experience, KJ have a weird crossover following in the US of 80s
nostalgia goths -- viz. any local goth/industria club that has 80s night
or which romises to include "death rock, goth, and industrial" will
inevitably have listed among bauhaus, christian death, tsol, misfits, 45
grave, joy division, siouxsie, specimen, kommunity fk -- killing joke.

Also, in the crust scene, thanks to Amebix, who apparently are
re-forming, Killing Joke have a kind of respect, even if the kids that
listen o d-beat crusty thrash wouldn't sit down and listen to a killin
joke album 98% of the time. It's kind of like the respect New Model Army
have. A band's band or a critic's band.

What this all add us up to, I have no idea. It's better than hordes of
Lmp Bizkit or Insane Clown Posse type fans.
