Meta-madness.

Sorry, once you pop you can’t stop.

I’ll be there for both nights. Can’t wait! I realise this may be a
controversial position, but “Madness” is my bone of contention with the
second album, so will bring a couple of good books for that. Everything
else, apart from a couple of Pandemonium clunkers, will be brilliant. Wonder
if the pikeys in clingfilm will be writhing around for Exorcism, and if I’ll
get beaten up for wearing my Astoria Pandemonium mask? I thought for one
horrible moment at one of the Astoria gigs that the violin player was Nigel
“Brix thief” Kennedy, and wished I’d brought my darts, but was pleased it
wasn’t.

So who from the list is going to the Pandemonium night? I'll be right at the
front for 'Whiteout' and 'Exorcism'. Is the Cechomor violinist coming along,
since he played on the Pandemonium material in recent tours. He brought a
bit more presence to the songs than just having the keyboard player play the
samples (do we know who's handling keys?).

I'm guessing most people are either going to both or going to the first
night, but I honestly can't afford the expense of tickets, travel and
somewhere to stay just to stand at the bar during 'What's This For...!' (the
only one of their first six albums I'm not terribly fond of). If Big Paul
does any more shows in the future (perhaps playing material from the
consistently excellent Revelations, Firedances and Night Time) or actually
contributes to the album (not holding my breath there), I'll do my best to
try and catch him then, but for now I'll just have to settle for the
now-ironically-named Youth playing one of the best Killing Joke albums. I'll
still be at the bar for 'Jana', but you can't have everything. ;)

Jim.
